After spending a day shopping at ERA Department Stores, simply ask the store staff for a Global Blue Tax-Free form and the staff will give you instructions on how to use it to claim your VAT back in cash.
In order to claim your VAT, there are, of course, a few conditions: a) you must be a non-EU resident, b) your total spend at ERA Department stores must be over €50, and c) you must be leaving the EU in the next three months (calculated from the end of the current month).
To claim your VAT back in cash you need to be leaving the country within 21 days*, to have your travel passport or ID and a credit card with at least three months left until expiry with you.
On your exit from the country, present your completed Tax-Free Form, passport, receipts, and purchases to the customs desk at the departure point for validation. Goods should be kept available for inspection, unused and with the original receipts.
After validation, present your stamped, completed Tax-Free Form and your passport to the nearby desk or office displaying Global Blue logo (in some cases this will be a currency exchange) to receive the refund in cash or to your credit card.
*If you do not leave the country within the set time, the cashback amount will be taken from your account in line with the terms and conditions of the tax refund.
